Komugi — meaning "wheat" in Japanese — was born in 2012 from a simple but heartfelt belief: that great bread has the power to bring people joy. Inspired by the warmth and craftsmanship of Japanese bakery culture, we set out to bring that same experience to Malaysia.
From the very beginning, our focus has been on doing things the right way. Every loaf, pastry, and cake is handcrafted daily using quality ingredients — no artificial additives, no shortcuts. Just honest baking, done with care.
What started as a single outlet has grown into a beloved bakery brand with locations across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor — and we're still baking fresh every single day.
